Three times across the Strait of Gibraltar for Spanish swimmer
Spanish (Catalan) swimmer David Meca has successfully swum THREE TIMES consecutively across the Strait of Gibraltar, ending his 12+ hours marathon in Ceuta after having covered more than 60 kilometres in the water. He was naturally exhausted after his efforts and had to be taken to hospital where he remains under observation, but his nodition is thankfully not reported to be serious. A more relaxed-looking David Meca made an annoucement of his forth-coming attempt during a press-conference in Madrid last week. The three-leg swim took him back and forth between Tarifa and Ceuta.
