I woke up this morning and heard with joy on the radio that BBC correspondent Alan Johnston has been released after 114 days captivity in Gaza. I heard him speaking on the Today programme a short while ago from just inside the Israeli border, which he had crossed earlier in the morning, on his way to Jerusalem in the company of British Embassy officials.
This is really good news and I am so pleased for Johnston himself and all his family and freinds.
