Do you know exactly what's in the new Civil Partnerships Act?

No? Well, I expect few of us know more than the 'headline' features. Pink Weddings, in collaboration with Gay.com, is organising a roadshow around major centres in the UK (although all those mentioned in this article happen to be in England, not all of them 'queer' hotbeds, so far as I was aware - doesn't Edinburgh, at least, qualify?).

Of course, Pink Weddings and Gay.com are both comemrcial organisations with, one imagines, a vested interest in increasing the take up of Civil Partnerhips by same-sex couples, but this seems nevertheless like a worthwhile effort to increase awareness of the pros and cons for those considering entering into such a commitment. I alluded to some of these pros and cons in my only post so far (apart from the one immediately before this), about the recent Budget here.
